Member Pledge and Oath upon membership:

I  ______________________________do hereby apply for membership in Suncoast Professional Firefighters and Paramedics, Local 2546.  I agree to abide by the constitution and By-laws of both the International Association of Fire fighters and Local 2546.  I authorize the union to be my exclusive bargaining agent.  I understand that my membership may be revoked at any time that I am found in violation of the Constitution and By-laws of the Local or the International.

Officers’ Oath upon Election:

“I…. (Name)… do hereby sincerely pledge my honor to perform the duties of my office as prescribed by the laws of this Local, and to bear true allegiance to the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS.  I will deliver to my successor in office all books, papers, and other property to this local that may be in my possession at the close of my official term.  I will also deliver all property to the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS and to the President of same on demand.  All of this I solemnly promise with full knowledge that, to violate this pledge is to stamp me as a person devoid of principle and destitute of honor.”
